Participate in a creative workshop for adults led by Virginie Delannoy! The artist will invite 6 participants to engage with the museum’s works or create a portrait of their choice using her unique technique. This technique involves reconstructing the image with pieces of adhesive tape, creating a contrasted and visually impactful composition.
About the Artist
Virginie Delannoy is a French artist who has lived and worked in Geneva since 2005.
A graduate of the École nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1995, her creative evolution is marked by an in-depth exploration of space and materiality. Sculpture and installation were at the heart of her work until 2018, when she shifted to large-format drawing. There is continuity in her approach to manipulating materials, whether through transformed furniture or adhesive tape, which has become a central tool in her recent research. Her work reflects a progressive exploration of the relationship between form, space, and visual perception.
