MBAL is continuing its series of “Etats Généraux”, where a theme addressed by the temporary exhibition programme becomes the subject of a public discussion. What do we print next? aims to initiate a conversation about the future of print art, asking why we insist that print art is a distinct field from other art forms today.
These and other questions will be debated by a selection of specialists in the wider field of printed art, including artists, art historians, printmakers, publishers, graphic designers and collectors.
The final aim of the project is to produce a manifesto on the questions addressed, which will be included in the book published by the museum to accompany Michael Günzburger’s exhibition in early 2025.
