Lermite

The water landscape, a source of inspiration for numerous artists formany decades, also aroused the interest of the Neuchâtel painter Lermite (1920-1977), whose foundation is located at the MBAL. The bird’s eye view of the Doubs and the representation of a Jura cistern show the artist’s attachment to his native region, while also illustrating two different approaches to the subject.
