A NEW EMERGING TALENT AWARD IN PRINTMAKING
Designed to support young artists, the MBAL Emerging Talent Award (Prix de la relève MBAL) rewards a student or recent graduate from an art school in Switzerland. This new competition organised as part of the Triennial of Contemporary Prints aims to promote the emergence of new practices printmaking. The prize rewards the excellence and originality of the submitted project. Following the Triennial exhibition, currently held at MBAL, the prize celebrates printmaking in all its forms. All techniques are welcome, from the traditional processes to the latest researchs in digital printing.
The winner will receive CHF 1’000 to carry out her/his project to completion. Production costs will be supported by MBAL.
The winning project, selected by a jury of specialists, will be announced in October 2018.
Application
Each applicant is invited to send a detailed presentation of the project, technical specifications, a budget and a curriculum vitae. Only students or recent graduates (less than 3 years) from a Swiss art school can take part to the competition and submit a project.
Deadline for sending the documents : September 24, 2018.
The projects shall be sent by post to MBAL director Nathalie Herschdorfer, to the following adress:
